Get together with the bridesmaids and plan an afternoon or evening addressing the invitations and then delegate one girl to handle the responses and tracking of the guests. 1. Determine the date of the bridal shower and insure you have at least a full month prior to that date to send out invitations. This will allow you enough time to mail them out and to hear back from everyone.

2. Having wedding shower invitations custom printed is a great way to get exactly what you want but it can be costly. One alternative is to make them at home with a good quality invitation software tool. Have someone with a high quality printer print them for you for a professional look. Even if you take it to your nearest shop to have done, it will still be much less expensive then having them professionally printed.

3. Make a list of all those you have invited and as the guests RSVP or call to let you know that they can or can’t make it, check them off on the list. Also keep track of the number of people coming as you’ll need to know this for the catering.

Keeping with a theme

If the Bride and Groom have chosen a wedding theme i.e. Disney, tropical, western then the bridal shower invitations can also continue this theme. Alternately the hostess of the shower can choose a theme, i.e. BBQ, lingerie, kitchen and compliment this theme in the invitations.

An added bonus

Many card shops offer packages of invites and thank-you cards. This is a real bonus for the Bride; address each thank-you card with the shower guest’s address and all she has to do is add the wording! With so many other things to think about – this is a real time saver and will be greatly appreciated.
